Those days when showers are out of hand; no time or even out camping on a vaca with friends. The best results for a grease-less hairdo is a combo of cornstarch, rice powder and baby powder. Combine all three together and finish with a fresh smelling harispray, and ta-da! The greasy hair you woke up with now looks refreshed and ready to go. If you can't find the rice powder at a health food store, it's okay to just combine the two. But the three are pretty much what's used in those extremely expensive shampoo-less hairsprays you buy. The wonders that home remedies can do!

An Italian Composition

While I study for my final exam for Humanities. Learning about all these amazing fifteenth century artists, makes me ponder about an Italian art I, myself am quite fond of. Admiring artwork could be just about anything, depending on your interests. Italian Vogue has stolen my heart when it comes to art. Photographer, Steven Meisels has created an art form unlike any other. Artists like Meisels, gives an entire new statement to the word unique.

I'm have a feeling of awe when I see such beauty.

Complextion Perfection

I bought this the other day to replace my pressed powder. I was definitely nervous about trying something new, but it was well worth it. Only $3 at Target! I can wear it all day without that oily feeling as the hours pass by. It's amazing and well worth the try. I'm curious to try other products by this brand. The ratings and reviews are off the wall.

It's Miraculous!

Literally and Seriously my new favorite bra. Go from A to C in five seconds. No needles, surgeries or injections required. Boob job heaven for those who hate going "under" the knife. The new Miraculous bra is literally miraculous. They come in all colors, but I recommend good old nude for starters. It's ranged from $50-$60, and well worth every penny.

Black, White and Gray

I'm absolutely obsessed with all things black, white and gray. By far my faves on the outfit chart. You can never go wrong with the three.

Always have a classic fitting black jacket. Great for all seasons and easy to mix and match with anything; tank, tee, jeans, dress.

I love black skinny jeans, I could own a dozen pairs and be happy. They go with any and every shoe.

The perfect LBD for any occasion. The simpler the better, that's why they created jewelry.

I'm obsessed with wide flared pants. White are summer perfect. I like them in black as well. They are the perfect pant for high or no heeled shoes. And looks good with just about any top.

Of course I've gotta include the "white tee." I own so many white t-shirts in all shapes and sizes. Good for working out,a weekend study sesh, under just about any cardigan, and even to work with a cute black belt wrapped under your bust. Another must have on my list.

I'm a legging fanatic! I own so many pairs in all colors. I believe I have around four pairs in black alone. They are great for literally just about any occasion.

A well fitted, semi-long gray tank. The perfect color under any shirt/cardi. Goes well with any pant, and with the perfect length, any leggings as well.

A good length, gray hoodie. Pair with black leggings or skinny's, a gladiator sandal, and a white tee. Perfecto!

The three loves of my life; gray, white and black. You can never go wrong. A bit bland at times, each item can be paired with a pop of color; heels, jewelry, or a bedazzled tank. Each item above can be found at piperlime.com

Cutest Patent Wedges

Okay...So I'm beyond obsessed with these amazing pair of shoes. Since I saw them on Friday I've been daydreaming of outfits to pair with. I want them more so for work, and am debating on whether or not to purchase. The only road block...I'm trying to move out of state in the summer. To buy, or not to buy? The responisble thing would be to not buy. But, ugh...I'm a girl, with many needs and wants. Shoes are a must! Plus, I am in neeeed of a new pair of shoes for work. My boyfriend would kill me if he knew. It's probably best that I just continue to daydream for now...

Coffee+Cake=Love

The only two things seemingly able to get me out of this weeks funk is coffee and cake. Thank goodness it was by boss' birthday! Which means; cake, cake and more cake. And what better way to stay awake, but with a cup of coffee always in hand. I have been having the most hectic past few weeks. I'm officially becoming a workaholic. Four days of work, combined with two long days of class gives me only one day off to study and be somewhat human. I'm semi-exhausted. But at the same time happy to be busy. I've officially gotten my sewing machine and am ready to begin the sewing process (there goes my one free day). After class I'm heading over to the fabric store to take a glimpse at a few fabrics. Woo hoo!

The Zen In Me

I have the sudden urge to sew. It’s been dwindling for a while. Sewing use to be a huge, huge hobby of mine. But once I moved back home I tucked it away in storage and said goodbye to the hobby for a few months. Now, I’m dying to get back at it. I miss the zen it brought me. My little getaway/stress reliever (although sometimes stressful). Maybe I’ll take a quick trip to my storage unit and dig it out of its grave. On a second note, I’ve been dying to buy a cute romper. But although wanting to be adventurous, I’m afraid it just might not fit my body type right. Plus, I would be the type to purchase one and only wear it to the beach or pool. I try to be experimental, but for some reason I always get too nervous to just give it a try. I am officially a work-a-holic, with only one day a week off now. I don’t mind being busy, it keeps me in tact with reality. But cramming in a study session into one single day, along with my innate mother cleaning and re-painting the house, was no fun at all. I can no longer breath out of both nostrils, thanks to the large inhaling of dust and paint fumes. I’m crossing my fingers to do well on this exam tomorrow.

Sundays...

While most spend their Sundays in church or out to breakfast with family, I spend my Sundays in a dreadful real estate office (somewhat exaggerating on dreadful). It’s quiet and only me, my coffee and a non-stop ringing phone. I’m wanting to get into homework, but as usual I’m procrastinating. I have more than enough homework to fill the endless time. Ugh to Sundays! Thanks to daylight savings, I’ve lost an hour of sleep which entitles an extra cup of coffee (mmm…yum). My shopping obsession has come to an extreme halt. Although I still ponder of things I wish I could buy, with wanting to move I must stop buying! This summer is the summer for me. I’ll be set with a degree and off to an apartment of my own (yippee!). So for now I’ll just have to sit and browse the things I want to purchase after this summer.

A Rainy Day In

Slowly attempting to get through homework. Today feels endless with my mother being home. I’m currently thinking of those days when the roomie and I would sit and watch endless amounts of movies, have study sessions that seemed too fun to be “study sessions.” I remember I would walk around doing whatever I pleased, enjoying one cup of coffee after another. Now I have an innate mother, who cannot stand the smell of coffee. Currently she’s coughing exaggeratingly speaking of how bad it smells. Who doesn’t enjoy the smell of coffee!!! For God’s sake my mother used to be a coffee addict back in her college years. She would drink raspberry mocha’s as if they came out of your kitchen faucet. Maybe this is her attempt to slowly push me out of the house…hmmm? Summer, please come soon! I miss having my own place. And once this degree is out of the way, at the end of the summer I’ll be saying “adios” with a large smile and grande mocha in hand. Now if I could just get through this homework. Two big tests this week. One was luckily take home and another is all based on crummy memorization of crap I’m never going to remember after this semester is done and gone. Don’t you just love pre-requisites? The only thing dragging me through this semester is my amazing literature class. It’s the “ahhhh” to my brain. I absolutely love it, and love is not even close to how I really feel. I can currently hear the rain quietly pounding on the roof. Yes, I love rain. It’s why I’ve always felt Seattle is the place for me. Coffee and rain screams Seattle! Alright, I suppose I shall stop drifting away from the important stuff…homework, school and a bunch of unnecessary bull. Cannot wait until summer…

Alice In Wonderland Premier

Is anyone else as excited as I am to see this movie? Another quirky blend of crazy from Tim Burton. This is a must see on my check list. I remember growing up with the movie, now I feel as though this version is meant for my generation. My curiosity in the movie made me interested in Helena Bonham Carter. She's one big mystery to me. Everything about her makes me wonder what a day in the life of Helena would be like. I can only imagine?

Homemade Coffee Syrup

I made the most delish latte this morning. With being out of coffee syrup and not really wanting to substitute with creamer. I decided to make my own. A little vanilla extract, approx 1 tablespoon (or one vanilla bean gutted), a cup of sugar and a cup of water, along with 1 tablespoon of brown sugar. Simmer until dissolved and poof, the best vanilla coffee syrup made. Close to Starbucks and makes every latte a pinch more special. My culinary skills are quite unique.

Work Weekend

It’s too early for a Saturday. When I imagine my perfect Saturday it involves me waking up around noon, brewing up a good cup of coffee, with my dog laying next to me while checking emails. That’s what Saturdays are suppose to be like. But instead, I’m working (yep, on a Saturday). To make matters much worst, I have been left with a work load unimaginable. 5pm, please come fast! Oh, and I’ll have to do this again tomorrow. That’s right, an entire weekend spent working. The only thing getting me through this long, long, long weekend is the amount I’ll have on that next paycheck. Think positive…right?

A Day Without Java

Why am I browsing ebay? I promised myself I would stop shopping/spending money. Money, that is, I don't have. But nothing is technically wrong with browsing. Right? Until I find something I have to have. I daydream too much; about shoes, vacations, really cute purses, cookies...okay, I need to stop. It's currently snowing outside. And the joys of moving back home allowed me to help my mother shovel...yippee (not). I babysat all day today. It was a pretty amazing time. Starting off with absolutely no coffee, meaning I had to get through the day zombie like. Coffee-less, forced to play an enormous amount of made up games, nap time, lunch time, trying to make up caffeine intake by drinking tea (didn't work), ending the time with Brady (4 year old) reading to me (btw, he can't read). I had the most fabulous time...

Work Rant

Two cups of coffee, one cup of tea…one, single long day. Too long. I wish I could have one day, just one, to sit and do absolutely nothing. Catch up on endless amounts of disgusting reality tele and read books leisurely (leisurely, what does that mean?). Oh how I wish (A girl can dream, can’t she?). The Michigan snow allows me to dream of Florida; warm beaches, little frilly coconut drinks, tanning lotions that make you smell like pina coladas. I’ll just have to daydream while I dress in my eight layers to somewhat resemble the abominable snowman. My ten hour work shift gives me plenty of time to do all this dreaming. And after my endless day of work, I’m attending the most wonderful get together (sarcasm). I’ll be seeing all my old high school chums, along with plenty of med students, who will sit and discuss nothing more than gross diseases and body parts. While I sip away at one, two, three…four drinks, drunk enough to actually feel like a doctor. Smile and nod; pretend like I know what their talking about. They’ll say all those big words they’ve learned and I’ll try to add in my two cents as if I actually know what I’m saying. Most likely the alcohol will do all the talking for me, it always does. I’ve been a bit of a shopoholic lately. Purchasing shoes, clothes and bags as if my bank account was filled to the brim. But since I work as a receptionist in this itsy bitsy real estate office, my bank account is not even close to the brim. Repeating “thank you for calling Re/Max New Trend, how may I direct your call” is not going to pay for as much as I wish I could spend. Ah, I just heard the wonderful sound of someone coughing up their pleura. I just may vomit now. Speaking of work, I suppose I should get back. Continue to pretend I’m doing some important receptionist things. Us receptionists, it’s always work, work, work. Toodles, until next time.

Wall Fountain

I absoultely love this idea. The ever so soothing sounds of waterfalls. And an easy way to have one. Hang this picture frame-like waterfall in your living room for that "zen" feeling.

Yellow Tea Submarine

Mmm...how refreshing on a cold winter's night. Nothing hits the spot like a warm cup of tea. What better way to bedazzle your tea glass then with this quirky item.

All About Me

I've decided to start this blog with an introduction.

First off, I love shoes.

*The higher the better. I love them with a unique, unlikely flair

*I'm a true foodie at heart

mmmm...pizza♥

*And nothing hits the spot like this place, Just Baked, cupcakes galore!

Mmmkk, I'm officialy hungry.

*I love clothes with a vintage flair. Although I can't quite pull it off at times, it's fun to experiment.

*I wish I could wear my LBD, neck of pearls and high black heels all while window shopping with a doughnut and coffee in hand. Unfortunately, I think Audrey Hepburn is the only one who can pull this off.

*I dream of the day I can afford a real Hermes bag. Which will most likely be never. But a girl can dream...can't she?

I don't want to give too much away about myself, what's the fun in that? But all together, I'll have many fun stories to share and fashion tips to spare.♥
